Bunge is reporting a first quarter loss of $29 million, compared to a profit of $39 million one year ago. Moving forward, the silver lining for the company could be in the soybean crush. Bunge Chief Executive Officer Soren Schroder told stakeholders there was a dramatic change in the global soy crush environment in the first quarter. Global crush margins improved and were driven by strong meal demand and crush capacity constraints from reduced soybean production in Argentina.
