M-R Consulting President Mark Ramsey says farmers in the Northern Red River Valley are getting wheat and sugarbeets planted, but it’s dry. “Lately, the wind has really dried out the topsoil to tillage depth. We’re going to need a rain soon,” says Ramsey. “Most of the crop has gone in very fast. Some corn is starting to go in, and hopefully we’ll start planting soybeans this week.”
