President Donald Trump has reversed himself on a possible role for the U.S. in the Trans-Pacific Partnership. In early April, Trump asked administration officials to look into a possible reentry into the TPP. That changed Tuesday. On Twitter, Trump said Japan and South Korea want the U.S. to go back into the TPP, but he doesn’t think it is a good deal for the United States. Trump said there are too many contingencies and there is no way to get out of the trade deal if it doesn’t work out. The Trump tweet also said bilateral trade agreements are a better option.
