Megan Ternquist joined the Red River Farm Network team in July of 2017. She has North Dakota roots, being raised on a third-generation diversified crop and beef cattle farm near Petersburg. Growing up, she was actively involved with all aspects of the family farm.
In 2016, Ternquist received a Bachelor of Science degree in animal science and a minor in agricultural communications from North Dakota State University. The NDSU graduate got her start in farm broadcasting working for KFGO Radio in Fargo as a farm and ranch news intern. This allowed her to establish agriculture relationships throughout the tri-state area. Before joining the RRFN, Ternquist served farmers and ranchers in a public relations role at the Minnesota Farm Bureau Federation. She is also a current National Association of Farm Broadcasting member.
When she’s not reporting agriculture’s business, you can usually find Megan on the farm. Whether checking crops or cattle, her camera is usually within arm’s reach. Her’s younger brother, Andrew, farms full-time with her parents Allen and Lori.
