A bipartisan group of 25 House members has sent a letter to Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, seeking final guidance for the 45Z clean fuel production credit. Despite having more than three years to develop and publish this guidance, the Treasury Department has failed to do so. The letter stated that the 45Z guidance will ensure that no loopholes are available to undermine the importance of the program for farmers. One lawmaker from the tri-state region signed off on this letter; Representative Brad Finstad of Minnesota.
