As promised, President Donald Trump signed his policy mega-bill on the self-imposed deadline of July 4. This is a comprehensive bill. “It’s the biggest tax cut in history, great for security, great for the southern border and immigration; we covered just about everything,” Trump told reporters. Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins released a statement after the so-called Big Beautiful Bill was signed into law. Rollins said “it provides immediate relief to farmers, ranchers and Rural Americans by increasing the small business expensing threshold and permanently extending the Small Business Deduction.” She said it also bolsters the farm safety net, makes crop insurance more affordable and addresses the estate tax. The extension of the 45Z clean fuel tax credit was also cited in the statement from USDA.
