Assistance Reaching Farmers Quickly

Speaking before the House Agriculture Committee, Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins said the USDA has distributed billions in emergency assistance in recent weeks. “I’ve already sent out aid to more than 500,000 farmers in just the last eight weeks with a total of over $7.7 billion out the door to date, additionally, we’ve issued $1 billion in Emergency Livestock Relief.” Rollins said the aid is especially important since a new farm bill hasn’t been passed yet.
