According to NDSU Extension Plant Pathologist Andrew Friskop, the wet weather is a bit of a question mark for spring wheat. “For those guys that got in right away, things are looking fairly good,” said Friskop. “I think moving forward, we’ll see what the forecast brings, but this is what I call pretty good early season growing conditions.” With all of the moisture, Friskop suggests adding a fungicide application into the tank mix to tackle some early-season disease stress.
