A key hub for U.S. agricultural trade has been shut down with independent truckers blocking traffic at the Port of Oakland. The truckers are protesting California’s new labor law called AB5. Protesters are saying AB5 threatens their ability to do business as independent owner-operators. The blockade further complicates the supply chain problems seen worldwide.
