USDA’s Risk Management Agency is offering new crop insurance options for farmers growing small grains, dry beans and dry peas. Beginning in 2022, RMA will allow enterprise units for each type of wheat and each category of dry beans. That prevents a gain on one type of crop from impacting the indemnity for a loss on another type. Changes are also in place for organic farmers and the certification process.
