The Fargo-Moorhead Diversion Project is the first civil works project in the Army Corps of Engineers’ history that has public and private financing. A Spanish engineering and construction company has been selected as the contractor for this project. There will be a 30-mile long diversion of the channel with upstream staging. Major construction on the P3 phase of the project is expected to begin early next year and be completed as soon as 2027.
