Corteva Agriscience reports a third quarter operating loss of $179 million. That compares to a loss of $207 million in the same quarter one year ago. Crop protection net sales rose nine percent and seed sales declined 23 percent. The crop protection business enjoyed strong demand for new products, including Enlist and Rinskor. Due to difficult weather, seed sales shifted from the spring quarter of 2019 to the third quarter. That was offset partially by strong summer and early safrinha sales in Latin America.
