At the 91st annual North Dakota Stockmen’s Convention, St. Anthony rancher Jeff Renner was recognized as the organization’s Rancher of the Year. The 41-year association members raise commercial Angus cattle in Morton County. Bar V Ranch of Jamestown was the Environmental Stewardship Award winner. The ranch consists of a feedlot and cow/calf herd that use an intensive grazing rotation. Also receiving awards were Bowman rancher Cary Hande as the Honorary Local Brand Inspector, and St. Anthony rancher Richard Tokach was given the association’s highest honor – the Top Hand Award.
