By the end of this week, Minnesota lawmakers should have a better idea of the state budget forecast. Minnesota House Agriculture, Food Finance and Policy Division Chair Jeanne Poppe says if there are additional funds available, those are one-time dollars. “We also need to consider how much the Department of Agriculture or our committee would receive. If there’s a pie full of money with extra dollars we may get a slice of the pie. We’ll be more in tune with the kind of money we have at the beginning of March.”
