AccuWeather analysts are estimating corn production at just over 13 billion bushels. That’s more than nine percent below last year and nearly six percent lower than the latest USDA estimate. If those numbers are realized, corn production would be at its lowest level since 2012. The AccuWeather analysis says late-planted corn may not yield well and could be hurt by an on-time frost. Soybean production is forecast at 3.9 billion bushels, down more than 14 percent from last year.
