In Minnesota, corn acreage increased slightly and soybean acreage declined. Corn acreage is estimated at 8 million, up one percent from last year. The soybean planted acreage is down 12 percent at 6.9 million acres. A total of 1.5 million acres in Minnesota were seeded to spring wheat, down 80,000 acres from last year. Dry edible bean acreage totals 205,000 acres. That is up 17 percent from last year and ties a record set in 1999.
