For the first quarter, Deere and Company reports net income of $498.5 million. That compares to a loss of over $535 million one year ago. Revenues from the farm and turf divisions rose ten percent during the quarter, but sales were primarily on smaller, low-margin equipment. Deere officials said farmers are delaying equipment purchases due to the uncertainty over trade.
