The Association of Equipment Manufacturers has inducted to co-founders of the Steiger Company to its hall of fame. John, Maurice and Douglass Steiger built the first Steiger tractor in the winter of 1957-1958 on their Red Lake Falls, Minnesota farm. The family officially went into the tractor business in 1963 and sales of the massive, lime-green tractor grew over time. The Steiger brand continues today with its parent company being Case IH.
