The Wheat Quality Council’s Annual Spring Wheat Tour will be held in the week ahead. Tour participation is down from last year. “There was a lot of panic and excitement about last year’s crop and not so much for this year,” said Dave Green, executive vice president. “We’re at about 55 people this year. That’s mostly domestic industry people from flour millers, to grain companies, bakers, university people and farmers. We have a lot of growers this year.” The tour will survey the spring wheat and durum crops throughout North Dakota and portions of Minnesota and South Dakota.
