North Dakota Senator John Hoeven says there is some work that can be done for the base adjustment and provide more flexibility in ARC-County payments in the upcoming farm bill. “It takes money to do that. How much we can do there is a reflection of how much money we can add to the ARC program area. In a similar way, we want to more with PLC to improve reference prices. Again, this is a funding issue. In both cases, we’ll try to get more flexibility. It’s all about the money.”
