N with a 22 year reputation in agricultural communications. Most recently, Wick led the farm broadcast duties at regional powerhouses WCCO Radio, Minneapolis and WNAX Radio, Yankton. His career
also took him to radio stations in Worthington, Redwood Falls, Austin and Wabasha. In addition to his farm broadcast duties, Wick is a columnist for a Minnesota publication Dairy Star and edits a weekly e-mail newsletter.
In 1997, Wick served the National Association of Farm Broadcasters as President. He has chaired the NAFB’s TradeTalk, Professional Improvement and Radio committees and edited the organization’s
newsletter Chats. In 2002, Wick served as the interim executive director for the NAFB.
Wick is also a two-time recipient of the ‘Oscars in Agriculture’ for excellence in agricultural journalism. His work has been honored by
various organizations including the Minnesota Farm Bureau Federation, the Minnesota State Cattlemen Association., the Minnesota Pork Producers Association, the Minnesota Corn Growers Association and the Minnesota
Vocational Agriculture Instructors Association. In 2002, Wick was honored with the National FFA Honorary Degree. A year earlier, the University of Minnesota College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental
Sciences Alumni Society named him their ‘Outstanding Friend.’
Wick is the Secretary for the Minnesota Agricultural and Rural Leadership (MARL) program; was a co-founder and President of the Metro Area
FFA Alumni Association and is a member of the Minnesota State Fair 4-H Livestock Auction Committee. Wick is a frequent volunteer for 4-H, FFA and University of Minnesota activities.
Don and Kolleen Wick have two sons Tony and Sam.
